About the Author
Sudha Murty is an Indian author and social activist who was born in 1950 in Shiggaon, Karnataka. She studied at BVB College of Engineering and Technology in Hubli for her BE degree, where she received the gold medal for being the best outgoing female student from the University of Mysore.
She also went on to receive her MBA degree from IIM Bangalore. Sudha Murty has written several novels and short stories that have been translated into various languages such as English, and Telugu. Wise and Otherwise is one of her most famous works which was published in the year 2000.
Sudha Murty is married to Narayana Murthy, one of the founders of Infosys. They have two children, a daughter Akshata and a son Rohan who has studied at Stanford University and is currently working in Infosys.
Sudha actively works with various charitable organizations and serves as the chairperson for the Infosys Foundation, which was started by her husband. She also travels around India to give lectures in various colleges.
