About the Author
Laurie Halse Anderson is the New York Times-bestselling author who writes for kids of all ages. Known for tackling tough subjects with humor and sensitivity, her work has earned numerous national and international awards, including the Michael L. Printz Award, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor, and two ALA Alex Awards.
Laurie was born in Potsdam, New York, on October 23, 1961, the oldest of four children. When she was seven, her family moved to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where she grew up and graduated from Wyomissing Area High School.
