Summary of Wild
The book starts with the narrator, a young woman named Cheryl Strayed, about to embark on a long solo journey along the Pacific Crest Trail, from California to Washington State. At this point in her life, she is still coming to terms with the death of her mother years earlier and has made some choices that have led her down a path of drug abuse and promiscuity.
She sets off with no clear plan or goal, simply hoping that the miles she puts between herself and her past will bring her peace. Along the way, Cheryl learns to take care of herself by facing fears and demons head-on, learning how to trust her intuition, and discovering just how strong she is in the face of adversity.
In many ways, Wild pdf is a story of the transformation of how Cheryl finds her way through pain and suffering to a deeper understanding of herself. Through the stunning beauty of nature, Cheryl learns to appreciate the small things in life that can bring joy and make us feel alive. She also discovers the importance of self-care.
