Summary of Throne of Glass

Celaena Sardothien is an assassin who has been imprisoned for a year and a half. She is given the opportunity to compete in a contest to become the King’s Champion, with the winner being granted their freedom. Celaena agrees to compete and is taken to the kingdom of Rifthold, where she meets her fellow competitors.

The competition is brutal and Celaena quickly realizes that she is in over her head. She befriends a young man named Chaol, who helps her to train for the contest. As the competition progresses, Celaena begins to uncover secrets about the kingdom of Ehryn and the people she thought she could trust.

When the final task comes, Celaena must face her fears and make a choice that will change her life forever. Throne of Glass is an action-packed, suspenseful read that will keep you guessing until the very end.

About the Author

Sarah J. Mass is the New York Times bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series, as well as the Court of Thorns and Roses series. Her other works include The Assassin’s Blade, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight, and The Cruel Prince.

Mass was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and currently resides in New York. She has a degree in communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. When she’s not writing, Mass enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and hiking.
