About the Author

Junot Diaz was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States when he was six years old. He is the author of the short story collection Drown and the novel The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. He is currently a professor of creative writing at MIT.
