About the Author

William P. Young is a Canadian author and speaker best known for his novel The Shack. The book was in 2007 by Hachette Book Group and has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.

Young was born in 1954 in New Delhi, India, to missionary parents. He grew up in various countries in Asia and Africa. In 1974, he moved to Canada to attend the University of Alberta, where he earned a degree in communications.
