Summary of The Lost Hero
The novel follows the adventures of Jason Grace, the son of the Roman god Jupiter, and the other two demigods, Piper McLean and Leo Valdez. The three are on a mission to save the world from the forces of the Titan, Kronos.
The novel begins with Jason washing up on the shores of the West Coast of the United States after being kidnapped. He has no memory of his past life and is taken in by the Wolf House, a safe haven for demigods. Shortly after arriving at the Wolf House, Jason learns that he needs to embark on a quest to save Olympus from the titans. With Piper and Leo in tow, the trio sets off on their journey.
At various points during the novel, the three encounter rivals such as Princess Calypso, who seeks revenge against the Olympian gods for imprisoning her father; King Midas, who uses his golden touch to create the Golden Fleece; the dragon Python; the giant Antaeus, who guards the entrance to the Underworld; and the goddess Hecate.

Rick Riordan is the author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, The Heroes of Olympus series, the Kane Chronicles series, the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series, the Trials of Apollo series, and the Tres Navarre mystery novels.
He has over 50 million books in print. His books have been translated into more than 42 languages. The author takes interest in writing from an early age.
Riordan was born in the San Francisco Bay Area on June 5th, 1964. He went to Alamo Elementary School in the same city and after that attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a history degree from the College of Liberal Arts.
During his life as an undergraduate student, Riordan also taught social studies in the Houston area as a middle school teacher. After graduating from the University of Texas, he wrote his first book, Big Red Tequila, which was the winner of the Shamus Award for Best First Novel.
