The Kite Runner PDF is a novel written by Khaled Hosseini. It was published in 2003 by Riverhead Books. The novel tells the story of Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, who is the son of a wealthy Pashtun merchant.

The story follows Amir’s journey to redemption after he betrays his best friend Hassan, the son of his father’s servant. The novel has been adapted into a film of the same name, released in 2007.

Summary of The Kite Runner

The main story tells the story of Amir, the son of a wealthy Kabul merchant, and Hassan, the son of his father’s servant. The two boys grow up together in Amir’s father’s house until the Russian invasion forces the family to flee to the United States. There, Amir grows up without Hassan.

The book examines the complex relationships between fathers and sons, the betrayal of friends, the power of guilt, the possibilities for redemption, and the importance of forgiveness.

All the while, the story is set against the backdrop of the tumultuous history of Afghanistan, from the Soviet invasion to the Taliban regime. And the kite runner pdf is the story of the unlikely friendship between two boys that will change their lives forever. The book has been adapted into a movie and a stage play.

About the Author

Khaled Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. When he was eleven years old, his family moved to the United States. He is the author of the novels The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and And the Mountains Echoed.

His books have been published in over seventy countries and translated into more than forty languages. He is a member of the US National Book Critics Circle and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He lives in northern California with his family.
