Summary of The 5th Wave

The real story is about the human race struggling and the fight for survival against the 4 waves of an alien invasion. The first wave took out power, the second wave took out transportation, the third wave was a plague, and the fourth wave was the aliens themselves in human form. The fifth wave is still a mystery.

The main character, 16-year-old Cassie Sullivan, is trying to survive the fifth wave. She is alone in the woods, hiding from the aliens. She has a gun and a bag of supplies. The author is waiting for her brother, Sammy, to come to find her. She knows he is alive because she can feel it.

Cassie is eventually found by a man named Evan Walker. He says he is there to help her. He takes her back to his cabin in the woods. Cassie is suspicious of him, but she goes with him anyway. At the cabin, Evan tells Cassie that the aliens are coming for her and that she needs to hide. She does not trust him, but she goes with him anyway.

Eventually, Cassie finds out that Evan is one of the aliens. He was sent to kill her, but he could not do it. He falls in love with her instead. Together, they try to stop the aliens from destroying the human race.
