About the Author

Mark Rippetoe is the author of the novel, Practical Programming for Strength Training, Strong Enough?, and co-author of Mean Ol’ Mr. Gravity. He has been involved in the strength training community for over 40 years as an athlete, coach, writer, and Starting Strength Coach.

He currently works as a strength coach at Wichita Falls Athletic Club in Wichita Falls. Rippetoe is a certified Starting Strength Coach and has coached thousands of athletes of all levels, from beginners to elite. He has also written numerous articles for various strength training publications.
