Summary of Siege and Storm

The novel “Siege and Storm” is the second book in “The Shadow and Bone Trilogy” series. It was written by Leigh Bardugo and published in 2013. The novel is set in the fictional country of Ravka, which is threatened by enemies on all sides.

The protagonist, Alina Starkov, is a young woman who has recently discovered that she has the power to control light. At the end of the first novel, Alina had just destroyed the Fold, a large swath of darkness that had been terrorizing Ravka for centuries.
