Summary of Murder on The Orient Express

The real story takes place in 1891, on the Orient Express. The victim is Ratchett, an American millionaire with a criminal record. He is found dead in his compartment, stabbed multiple times.

The detective investigating the case is Hercule Poirot, who immediately begins to question the other passengers on the train. All of them seem to have some kind of connection to Ratchett, and all of them have something to hide.

The final twist comes when Poirot reveals the identity of the killer. It is someone who has been close to him all along, and who he thought he could trust.
