About the Author
Harivansh Rai Bachchan was born in Allahabad, India (now Prayagraj). His father was a poet and scholar, and his mother was an artist. He studied at Cambridge University and obtained an MA from the London School of Economics.
He worked as a professor of English literature at the University of Delhi for several years before beginning his writing career. The author is very popular all across the globe.
