The Fountainhead PDF is a novel by Russian-American author Ayn Rand, her first major literary success. The novel’s protagonist, Howard Roark, is an individualistic young architect who designs modernist buildings and refuses to compromise with an architectural establishment unwilling to accept innovation.
Roark embodies what Rand believed to be the ideal man, and his struggle reflects Rand’s belief that individualism is superior to collectivism. The novel quickly became a best-seller following its publication in 1943 and has gone on to sell over 6.5 million copies in 31 languages.
It won the Dutton Award for Fiction (now the Edward Lewis Wallant Award) for Rand and has been recognized by The Fountainhead as one of the ten most influential books in the United States.
The novel was nominated for a National Book Award, but Rand was asked by the organizers to withdraw it because they feared that an award to a controversial author like her would produce too much “controversy.” This book is attainable in different including paperback, PPT, and also in Hardcover.
