The novel tells the story of Madeline’s love for Olly, a boy who moves in next door, and the lengths she goes to in order to experience life beyond her walls. This novel has received critical acclaim. It was a New York Times Best Seller and won the 2016 Michael L. Printz Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature.

The novel has been translated into over 30 languages and sold over two million copies worldwide. It has been adapted into a film of the same name, which was released in 2017. This young adult fiction is attainable in different file structures including audiobook, paperback, hardcover, and so on.

Summary of Everything Everything

The novel is about a girl named Maddy who is allergic to the world. She has to stay inside all the time and is homeschooled. She falls in love with a boy who comes to her window and they start talking. It is a story about love, loss, and learning to live in a world that is full of dangers.

The girl Maddy is allergic to the outdoors, the sun, the air, and anything that could potentially harm her. She has to stay indoors all the time where it is safe. Maddy is homeschooled so she does not have any friends her own age.

The only contact she has with people her own age is through social media and she doesn’t really consider them to be her friends. One day, a boy named Olly moves in next door and Maddy sees him through her window. They start talking to each other and Maddy starts to develop feelings for him.

Olly is the first person that Maddy has ever really talked to and she starts to yearn for a life that is more than just being indoors all the time. She starts to take risks and goes outside even though she knows it could kill her.

About the Author

Nicola Yoon is a Jamaican American author. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to New York City when she was four years old. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a nurse. Yoon has two sisters, one older and one younger.

Yoon’s debut novel Everything, Everything was published in September 2015 and became a bestseller. It has been attainable in over 30 languages. He is famous for his novel Everything Everything.

Nicola Yoon currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, son, and daughter. Yoon graduated from the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan. She attended college at Stanford University, where she studied Economics and Creative Writing.

After college, she worked in book publishing and as a television development executive. She has also been a hair stylist, a secretary, and an assistant wedding planner. In 2016, Yoon was famous as one of Time magazine’s Most Influential People.
