About the Author
John Bird was born in the UK on 8 July 1953. He studied Engineering Science at Bristol University, graduating with first-class honors in 1975.
After graduation, he worked as a research assistant for two years before returning to Bristol University in 1978 where he gained his Ph.D. in Engineering Mathematics.
In 1982 John Bird took up postgraduate teaching and course development roles at various universities prior to joining London South Bank University (LSBU) as a Professor of Engineering and Applied Mathematics. Since joining LSBU, John has written several successful books including Engineering Mathematics pdf which is now available as an eBook.
John’s expertise includes applied mathematics, engineering mathematics, and numeracy skills training across all levels from further education college to undergraduate and postgraduate study.
