About the Author
Cassandra Clare is the author of the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series and the Infernal Devices trilogy. She was born overseas and spent her childhood in an English boarding school before moving to America.
Cassandra Clare was born in Tehran, Iran on July 27, 1973. When she was three, her family moved to England and then to San Diego, California when she was eight. She takes interest in writing since her adulthood.
She went to high school at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in English Literature. The author currently lives in Massachusetts with her husband and three sons.
