Rainbow Rowell is the author of Carry On and several other young adult novels, including Eleanor & Park and Fangirl. She lives in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband and two sons.
Rainbow Rowell was born on February 24, 1973, in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in a small town outside of Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in journalism in 1995.
After college, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she worked as a newspaper reporter. In 2001, Rowell published her first novel, Attachments. Her second novel, Eleanor & Park, was published in 2013 and became a New York Times bestseller.
This novel was published in 2015, and Fangirl was published in 2014. Rowell’s novels have been translated into more than thirty languages. Rainbow Rowell is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned a degree in journalism. Rainbow Rowell died on March 24, 2018, at the age of 45. No cause of death was given.
