Richelle Mead is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Vampire Academy, Bloodlines, Age of X, and Georgina Kincaid series. Richelle lives in Seattle, Washington with her family.
Mead was born in Michigan, USA, and grew up in nearby St. Clair Shores. She first started writing in high school and continued her interest in creative writing when she attended college at the University of Michigan, where she earned a degree in comparative religion with a minor in psychology.
