About the Author
Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland PDF, was born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson on January 27, 1832, in Daresbury, England. After attending a boarding school at the age of twelve, Carroll entered Christ Church College at Oxford University in 1850 and graduated with honors in mathematics four years later.
He then became an ordained deacon in 1861 and a tutor of mathematics at Christ Church until 1881. Carroll’s personal life was quite busy; he was active in many social circles throughout his adult years and known to be quite entertaining among friends and family alike.
In 1863, he married Alice Raikes, daughter of the Reverend Henry George Liddell the dean at Christ Church College though they eventually separated. In addition to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland PDF, Carroll wrote a number of other works including Alice Through the Looking-Glass, The Hunting of the Snark, and Sylvie and Bruno.
He also wrote numerous poems, essays, and mathematical treatises throughout his career. The author takes interest in writing from an early age. Carroll died on January 14th, 1898 in Guildford, Surrey, England.
