Summary of A Storm of Swords

A Storm of Swords is the third novel in A Song of Ice and Fire, and the novel picks up where A Clash of Kings left off. This book is considerably longer than the first two books and is split into two parts.

About the Author

George Raymond Richard Martin was born George Raymond Martin; on September 20, 1948, often referred to as GRRM, is an American novelist and short story writer in the fantasy, horror, and science fiction genres, screenwriter, and television producer.

The author is famous for A Song of Ice and Fire, his international bestselling book series. He attended Mary Jane Donohoe School and Marist High School. Martin began writing very young, selling monster stories to other neighborhood children for pennies. Later he became a comic book fan and collector in high school and began to write fiction for various fanzines.

His Prominent science fiction and fantasy editor who published Martin’s short fiction encouraged him to continue writing. The author graduated with a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 1970.

George R. R. Martin died on October 25th, 2017 from a sudden heart attack. He was 69 years old. He is survived by his wife, Parris McBride, and his two children.
